R.M.T.
  Virginia is the driving force behind the Brant Suzuki String School.  She founded the School in 1988.  She has Suzuki teacher training at all levels and over 35 years of teaching experience.  She founded the Little String Orchestra in 1977.

Named
Arts Citizen of the Year for the City of Brantford in 1993, Virginia continues to teach and administrate the School, educating string students in Brantford and area.

JulieAnn Hartburg

JulieAnn Hartburg has been teaching the Suzuki method for over 30 years.  Growing up in Rochester, New York, Julie attended the Eastman School of Music, graduating from their preparatory department.  She received a Bachelor's of Music Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia.  After teaching strings for the Hamburg District School Board, Julie decided to follow her heart and began to specialize in the Suzuki method.  Upon coming to Canada in 1990, Julie taught with Suzuki Niagara for several years and ran her own program in Grimsby for almost 15 years.  

Julie's Suzuki teacher training goes through Book 7 and includes studies with Lorraine Fink, Alice Joy Lewis, Ed Sprunger, Paule Barsalou, long-term training with Daphne Hughes and group class techniques with Carey-Beth Hockett. At present Julie performs with Waterloo Chamber Players and has enjoyed performing with various professional groups while living in Nebraska, New York State and the Niagara region of Ontario.
